It is astonishing to me that we are entering a brand-new year! 2012! What will it bring? We may ponder. For some people this is a year filled with threats of cataclysmic change. When I searched predictions for 2012, I found hundreds. Most of them have some kind of negative message like Doomsday, End Times, Polar Shift, etc. This is truly a great time to be who we are, knowing what we know! The world needs us to think clearly now. It does not matter to me what stars are unaligned, if I am not aligned with the Presence of the all Good. It does not matter to me what ancient or modern civilizations have predicted that this year be the end of days, if my days do not end with gratitude for the gifts of the Spirit. To that end, and because it is also leap year, the theme I have chosen for the year is "God: 24-7, 366!" We are basing the year on a daily reading book by Ernest Holmes titled 365! I will write a daily reading for February 29th.
We know that God is GOOD! Here and now in all activities and every occasion, the Life Principle sits in perfect equilibrium bringing forth from Itself, newness. If we want to believe one of the predictions, I suggest that we put a New Thought spin on it and profess our belief that the old consciousness is coming to an end and a new consciousness of Love, Life, Peace, Beauty, Peace, Freedom and Light is being birthed.
Our theme for January is Fresh Starts. I love the idea that no matter what age, circumstance, condition or effect one might be in, Divine Mind knows Itself as you as Infinite Possibilities. So let's make a fresh start together. I am moving into a new home, and although I haven't seen it in form yet, I have seen it vividly in my imagination. I am making a fresh start. I am enjoying the packing and preparation and consciously letting go of anything I don't love! It really is time to do so!
Rev. Pattie and Rev. Karyn and I have been having fun writing evocative Sunday message titles. I know you will enjoy them as much as we have enjoyed putting them together for you.
Rev. Patricia, who has developed a specialization about creating a new story for yourselves, will be with you on Sunday, January 1st. I know you will get so much out of it.
In preparation, ask yourself, what newness desires to emerge through me this year? What new skill will I learn? How can I be even more receptive to the inner Presence? Perhaps you will work with your body temple, maybe with your home, your family, your work or your creative expression. Together we can and will make a huge difference as we support one another in living our best yet lives.
My prediction for 2012: There will be a shift in consciousness from separateness, fear and divisiveness to unity, peace and beauty.
Happy New You!
