Dr. Heather Dawn Clark
Dear Ones,
What inspires you? What ignites your heart and sets it blazing? There are many things that inspire me. I am inspired by acts of courage and acts of kindness. I am inspired by consciousness unfolding and the seamless way the Universe brings people, places and events together. You could call it the dance of life.
This month begins with one of the most inspirational speakers I have ever heard. His story of forgiveness touches my heart very deeply. You will hear his story from him so I will not tell it except to say that it makes most of the things that I have ever needed to forgive fade into insignificance. I also know that it is dangerous to compare ourselves to others — even those who inspire us to move out of our comfort zone and into greater realization of our magnificence. With all that being said, there is great value in examining what deeply moves or inspires you. When we know what inspires us we can put our attention on those qualities within ourselves so that God can be revealed through us.
Courage inspires me. For most people it takes courage to look closely at their lives, habits and feelings. Yet, without examining what we are thinking and feeling right now, we will never be able to create the world of our dreams. Looking closely takes great courage. When we see something that is out of alignment with the truth of our being, we have the choice to continue with whatever we have been doing or to change it.
Imagine the courage it takes to tell the truth about your feelings to those whom you love and respect especially if their actions are causing you distress! Recently someone whom I greatly admire for her courage shared just such an instance with me. I am inspired by her honesty, her love and her courage.
Where can we find inspiration? We can find it everywhere. Wherever there is beauty, truth, love, harmony or joy, there is opportunity for tnspiration. Ernest Holmes wrote: "The great mystics have all agreed that man's life is his to do with as he chooses, but that when he turns to the One, he will always receive inspiration from on high." Science of Mind, page 333.
As always, the answer is God. Turn to the One. You will surely be inspired.
Love,
Heather
