Dr. Heather Dawn Clark
Dear Ones,
As we journey through the year, remembering what really matters, these next months we will focus on connections and trust. I find our life stories fascinating. Have you ever traced back the seemingly unrelated events of your life that brought you to where you are today? Tracing my life backwards I can see how a last minute decision to invite a neighbor to dinner in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1983 led to my ministry here in San Juan Capistrano.
British television producer, James Burke, produces a television series called Connections. In it, he shows how Dutch piracy lead to international law, French probability math, phonetics and Victorian seances. These are stories of connection. Our lives are really stories of connection. They may be poignant or funny, serious or melodramatic. The thing to remember is that they are simply stories. That is — any meaning they have, we have given to them. Yes, that devastating divorce was only devastating through your eyes. Your ex may have a completely different version of events. Because you are the thinker of your thoughts, you are totally free to change your mind about any event in your life. I invite you to see them as the moments that led you to a greater understanding of yourself.
You are not your stories. No matter how glorious they may be, you are more than that! You are an infinite, eternal, spiritual being bringing new experiences into life through her consciousness.
We are going to look at the connections in our lives and what those connections mean to us. Then let's take a look at trust.
When I was less aware, I had often been too trusting of the wrong ideas, people and places; and too skeptical to trust the right ideas, people and events. Gradually I have learned to develop trust in what really matters — namely my relationship with God, my higher self, my sacred Self. I have learned to trust whatever comes into my life as simply consciousness unfolding perfectly. When I trust, I say "Yes" to change. When I trust, I know that only right action can take place. When I trust, I know that I am loved and supported. When I trust I know that "goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life."
Open your mind and heart to connect with the Presence and trust the principle to unfold perfectly. It's not a secret anymore!
Love,
Heather
