Spirit Is Calling

Dear Ones,

As the year unfolds in perfect order, we continue our theme of "Spirit is Calling" by activating the spiritual practices of Community and Intuition for the months of May and June. The Center for Spiritual living is both a spiritual community and a way of life.

As we activate the practice of community we begin by asking the question: "What is a community?" A community is a place where we come together to share common dreams, values, and beliefs. In our spiritual community, what brings us together is a deep desire for spiritual growth, vitality and transformation. By being aware that we are a community we learn to fully participate in the community.

No matter how often you attend the Center, how much you are involved, you are very important to our community. If we think of our community as being a giant jigsaw puzzle and each one of us holds a piece. We are the only ones who can bring our piece of the puzzle. When everyone is aware of their own importance to the community, then seeming magic happens. We start staying for fellowship and get to know some people. We share our dreams and aspirations and know that we are being supported. There is a joyful noise of community. It is a happy buzz of people talking to people.

One of the greatest joys possible is the joy of selfless service. It is a natural part of community. In other words, a healthy family helps with the chores. In addition to the band, ministers, practitioners, Youth Church teachers, and me, there are eleven people at work putting each service together. These people give of their time and talent because they consider this place their spiritual home.

Although many people start the practice of selfless service to support the Center, most people keep doing it because of the personal growth and joy that it brings to each individual. Maybe there is something you could do. Talk to Rev. Alene and she will match you with an area to serve. Your service commitment is for only one service per month.

Join our community and become a member. Let us nurture and love you just as you are. Walk with us as we explore the depths of the good that God has created and learn the spiritual principles that govern our lives together. Use your Intuition. You can trust it.
