Dr. Heather Dawn Clark
Dear Ones,
Can you imagine a world that works for everyone? What would it mean to you to live in such a world? I have often thought if people only knew who they were, they would make choices that reflected their divine nature. I imagine a world in which everyone has an awareness of their value as a human being, a world in which people are comfortable being themselves and appreciate and love the people in their world just the way they are. Wouldn't it be great if the world was that way?
For the entire month of November we will discuss and embrace the concept that we can change the world. This concept begins with each of you. Whenever one of us blesses another person we raise the vibration of good on our entire planet. This is so because all life is connected in the One Mind. In the unity of life, if I am raised up, then my brothers and sisters are raised up also.
Aman Motwane, wrote a little book entitled, Yes, You Can Change the World. It is a sweet parable about a man whose father has made a huge difference in many people's lives. The book looks at shifting our perspective from being separate to one of unity and then taking action from that place.
The platform upon which this whole process stands is seeing the intrinsic value in every person. We know each of us has intrinsic value beyond measure for we are made of star stuff, in the image of the Divine. The first shift in perspective is to focus, not on how little time you have, but on how to make the most of what little time you do have.
The second shift is to focus, not on what you see on the outside of a person, but on the person within - see the pain within and the potential within.
The third shift is to focus, not on what's wrong with a person, but with what makes them right - see their strength within their weakness.
James W. Foley (1874 - 1939) known as North Dakota's Poet Laureate says it best.
Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.
He continues,
Drop a word of cheer and kindness: just a flash and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on,
Bearing hope and joy and comfort on each splashing, dashing wave
Till you wouldn't believe the volume of the one kind word you gave.
As I do every week, I intend to make my messages relevant to your lives and I am going to ask you to practice the principles in a specific way. It will be an interactive way in which the ripples of kindness, love and appreciation multiply into a tsunami of good.
Love,
Heather
