Pattie MercadoThe Ministry of Prayer Practitioners is a group of dedicated individuals trained through the study of the Science of Mind in the art and skill of Prayer Treatment or affirmative prayer. They welcome requests for prayer treatments on any desires or challenges you may have.
Clicking a name or picture at left or below will enable you to send an e-mail which will be forwarded to the practitioner. And we invite you to submit a prayer request at any time by using the following form.
If you are unable to complete this form for any reason, please let us know so we may assist you.
When you sit down with your Practitioner, you usually have in mind some challenge or another that is facing you. You discuss the issues with the Practitioner, and then, that individual proceeds to speak a Spiritual Mind Treatment on your behalf. In all cases a shift in Consciousness takes place. In most cases, if you are receptive to the action of Spirit, you will see a change in the issue that was challenging you.
My question to you is this, "Do you know how this Practitioner came to be what they are and know the techniques that they practice?" It would be appropriate to know this and much more about the individual Practitioner. After all, are we not, when consulting our Practitioner, placing a great trust in the Practitioner at hand? Of course we are. While it is true that Spirit does the work that changes our conditions, it stands up to logic that the person directing the application of Spirit must be well read, skillfully taught, trustworthy, and possess the necessary abilities to successfully deduce the actual cause of our difficulties. In other words, how did this person come to be the Practitioner that is giving of him or her self to assist you?
The whole process starts when an individual is initially drawn to the teaching of The Science of Mind. After attending any number of Services, this person is drawn to the idea of enrolling in Science of Mind classes. The usual approach is that the "100" series of classes, comprised of four basic units, is completed first. In the "100" series, the foundation of the Science of Mind belief system is established. At this time, there is now present in the student, a desire to know more than just the basics. The student's next step is to proceed to the Science of Mind 200 series. There are seventeen different and distinct "200" series units. Some of these are optional, and some of them are mandatory for the prospective Practitioner. Upon completion of the "200"s, the Student will have a good working knowledge of the application of Science of Mind Principles. At this juncture, the student has two years of classroom work completed.
Now comes the time for real commitment. If the student by this time, possesses the overwhelming desire to use this acquired knowledge on behalf of others, it is know time to enroll in Practitioner Training. This is known as Science of Mind 300. This is a huge undertaking that dwarfs anything that the student has experienced thus far. In the next 32 weeks the students will acquire the necessary skills to: conduct an interview, be adept in linking an aspect of the Divine to the issue at hand, learn the meaning and function of confidentiality, sharpen ones skills in affirmative prayer, focus on the cause and not the effect, and come to be an effective participant in the Center family. This is achieved under the guidance of an experienced teacher who is a Minister of the Science of Mind.
After completing all of the educational requirements, there is additionally, a licensing process to be dealt with in which the intern practitioner must record a minimum of three documented demonstrations of the success of the Spiritual Mind Treatments initiated by the intern. Following licensing, there is a further requirement to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the Practitioners, and to engage in at least twenty four hours of continuing education per calendar year. To become a Practitioner is no small undertaking. It requires a large amount of time, tuition, practice, and patience. The most important ingredient however, is that inner voice that says to the conscious mind, "Love unconditionally and serve your fellow humans in a way like no other."
So the next time you consult a Practitioner, know that they are motivated by the highest of desires. Further, know that they are well trained, competent, and willing to serve you as no one else on this planet is capable of doing.
